Biography: Lieutenant Kenneth Hudson Reah was from Castletown, and was educated at King William's College. He was serving with the 3rd battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps at Salonika when he died of pneumonia arising from malaria, on 25 November 1918. The Salonika front, on the border between Greece and Bulgaria, was notorious for malaria and more British soldiers here were hospitalised through disease than were through enemy action. Reah is buried at Mikra British Cemetery, Thessalonika. (Image ref: PG/13743/9).
