Biography: Private Robert Nash was the son of Mr S. Nash (fruiterer) of Castletown, and before the war had been employed in the family business. He joined the army in 1917, and was killed in action in France on 30 August 1918, serving with the Cambridgeshire Regiment. His father had two sons killed and a third severely wounded in the First World War. Robert Nash is buried in Peronne Road Cemetery, Maricourt, France. (Image ref: PG/13743/25).
