Biography: Thomas Caesar Kelly was born at Cronk Y Voddy but emigrated to New Zealand around 1910. He enlisted in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in 1915, and served with the New Zealand Rifle Brigade in France where he was wounded. After recovery in hospital in England he was posted back to France in 1918. Just five weeks later, on 8 October 1918 he was killed in action. He left a widow, Jessie, at Castletown. Rifleman Kelly is buried at Honnechy British Cemetery, near Le Cateau. (Image ref: PG/13743/61).
