Biography: Upper Camp. Took part in a preliminary heat of the 200m race, the 400m 'record' race, was a member of the Upper Camp 1600m relay team (in blue) and was a member of the Upper camp 1000m relay team (in blue) at a sports festival that took place at Douglas Camp 2.9.1916 & 4.9.1916. Took part in race 6, round 1 of a 100m race held 29.7.1918 (Camp not named, probably Douglas). Took part in an afternoon of sports held on 12.8.1918. (Camp not named but probably Douglas). Named on a program for a Sports Festval held at Douglas on 8.6.1916 as having raced in the 50m heats. (B.115/1xf Internment Scrapbook, page 103, 105, 106 & 119.) Possibly same person who actedcted in the comedy 'Maedchen aus der Fremde' at the German theatre, Douglas on 21.11.1916. Acted in the comedy 'Der Schlafwagen Controleur' at the German Theatre, Douglas on 18.3.1917. (B.115/2xf Internment Scrapbook, volume 1, page 76 & 131.) There is also a 'Hering' named in a program for a Sports Festival held at Douglas Camp on 20.7.1916 as one of the competitors in the 100m heats and a member of one of the Upper Camp relay teams, in blue. (B.115/1xf Internment Scrapbook, page 119.)
