Biography: Mount: Sidecar—Norton.

Age 37, F. G. Garrington comes from Great Barr, Birmingham, and is a tool setter in a hot brass stamping works.

He began motor cycling in 1936, and tried his hand at trials in 1939 and ’40, collecting a couple of firstclass awards. He turned to sidecar racing after the war—as a passenger to grass-track racer, C. H. Chivers, but after a year or two he bought his own outfit and started to dice with Boddice, Smith, Harris and company, with many wins.

In 1950 and 1951 Garrington won the Meteor Cup, awarded by the West Bromwich Club for the best performance in Midland Centre grass tracks, but he packed up grass track racing last year, and this is his first season “on the road.”

His entrant is George Lathe, of Wolverhampton, and the machine he is using is a 1948 Manx Norton.
