There is also the note, 'Hall Green, named after Velvet Hall, demolished c.1900 - houses in station Rd built with the bricks'. On the right are marked the pump, Smithy-James Christian (died around 1808), Smithy House-Xtian's, the Primative Chapel and Railway House.
