The steamer Snaefell II at Inner Harbour, Douglas
Date(s): n.d.
Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Steamer Snaefell II left service in 1904. Mem. Quayle the Saddler first house round the side of Coole's on the Fleetwood Corner, going into Queen Street. Picture from stone bridge with inside car in foreground shews it. Reminded of this by Jas Corlett, 28.12.1931. The old Bethel was next door on W side. Check this: doesn't seem right. The house here referred to was W of the old Bethel and next the Saddle Inn where it still is, and occupied, or was, by Renshaw the barber. Quayle's was a similar house but 1st W of Coole's actually on the North Quay. Env IV, 19'.
