Carol Kneale won the annual Miss Isle of Man for Miss World Contest held at the Villa Marina on Thursday 20 July 1978. Unlike the Queen of Man competitions, Miss Isle of Man was only for local entrants. The winner of Miss Isle of Man had a full list of duties to perform during her year long reign, many of which included being photographed in local shops and businesses that had sponsored the contest. Here Carol is being photographed for an Isle of Man Examiner ‘sponsor special’.
