Scope & Content: The identification of Heinrich Steur is based upon the prisoner number 16737 which appears on the glass plate and comparison with the repatriation and hospital lists which appear on the ICRC website. His Red Cross information bureau number was 26629. A prisoner with this name and same home address appears on a list of Germans interned in Nigeria in 1914 (number Nig 132, recorded as Landsturm). Admitted to hospital Knockaloe 19/8/17: Gastralgia. Home: Lindau a/Bodensee, Bavaria.
