Isle of Man Railway engine No. 14 'Thornhill' at Kirk Michael Station
Date(s): c.1911
Creator(s): unknown photographer
Scope & Content: No. 14 Thornhill after 1910, rebuilt with No. 4 Loch 1893 refurbished boiler and No. 4's original water tanks (surplus after No. 4 was rebuilt with larger boiler and larger water tanks). Photograph shows evidence of No. 4 works plate location with two bright spots where No. 4's original works plate would have been on first boiler barrel ring. No. 4 water feed pipe is also in different location, resulting in the sand box being sat on the running plate.
