First World War Internees in front of an Internment Hut (Medical/ Hospital Staff), Camp 2, Knockaloe Camp, Isle of Man
Date(s): ?1917
Scope & Content: The image also appears in J.T.Baily's album - that version is embossed with photographer's name 'W.H.Warburton, Douglas, IoM'. The person pictured fourth from the left wearing a suit and arm band is purported to be internee Joseph Pilates (as identified by a researcher). However, Dan Baker in May 2023 commented 'Compared to another image and the fact that Joseph Pilates was in Camp 4 this probably isn't him. Check out image PG/7870/38142.'

Hi! I have written a book about the Pilates Method and it will be published next August in Finnish in Finland. I would like to know if this picture could be used as a part of the pilates history chapter. Please, let me know. - Heikki LempiƤinen Report this
