Lady of Mann main staircase

Scope & Content: Launched at Barrow-in-Furness on 4 March 1930. Built by Vickers-Armstrong. The main staircase was made of mahogany, but years later it was boxed in by steel and fitted with steel doors. Such was the steady development of fire regulations.
