Scope & Content: Manx Radio programme featuring Clare Clennell talking to David Callister about her recording of Manx carvals. Claire speaks about the carvals and previous translations from the Manx and how she prefers literal translations. Douglas Faragher translated the carvals into English for her with these English translations included in a booklet with the record. The music for her records came from W.H. Gill's collections. They discuss the content and meaning of the carvals and how the carvals are unique to the Isle of Man. Some carvals from her record are played.
