Scope & Content: Car registrations MN 2041, MN 2042, MN 2043, MN 2044. The motorcars were owned by Sunbeam Motor Car Co. Ltd., Moorfield Works, Wolverhampton and Fort Anne, Douglas.

1922 was the last motorcar Tourist Trophy (TT) race to be contested in the Isle of Man. The conditions in 1922 were terrible, with dark skies and heavy rain flooding much of the muddy, stony course.

The race was won by Chassagne and Laly in a Sunbeam Tourist Trophy. The three litre, eight cylinder Sunbeam racing car's winning time was five hours, 24 minutes and 50 seconds, covering eight laps, or 302 miles at an average speed of 55.78mph.
