Scope & Content: This Wallace and Stevens traction engine was supplied new in 1895 to John McWhannell of Glen Duff. It was later owned by R.G. Shimmin of Sulby Farm, Onchan and by the Christian family of Braust. These engines not only moved heavy loads around the Island, but were adapted for other tasks.
