Scope & Content: Mr Kinvig was born in Ronague, a son of Mr & Mrs John Kinvig. Description of Potato Butts at Ballacooil, Arbory; Three-legged pots and their use described. Blacksmiths repairing pots. Talking Manx as a child - Archdeacon Kewley reprimanding the schoolmaster for allowing the children to make fun of Manx speaking children. Sod houses in Glen Rushen; Use of the Ling hook. The Promised land - Glen Rushen - off Round Table - grandfather stopping the Crown authorities from building enclosing walls at a certain part of the road because it was a right of way in to the Promised Land. This also occurred on Dalby Mountain - hence areas are still unfenced.
