'Windmill at The Curragh', Isle of Man
Date(s): 1920s
Creator(s): Madoc, Henry William
Scope & Content: There were probably just three large windmills in the island at Castletown, Ramsey, and Daniel Kelly's sawmill at Kirk Michael. There were, however, several little ones scattered about the countryside, particularly in the north at Maughold, Jurby and Andreas. All were attached to farms rather than being individual structures. This one is in Ballaugh and is now part of a house called Windmill House.
