Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Taking down the large house on the corner of Fort St. Opposite the Customs House on Right a bit of No.4 S. Barnabas' Sq., and, in foreground a fair impression of the cobbled surface of the 'Square'. Mr Joseph Sharp, Coal-Factor, occupied this house for many years before he became opulent & built the large house, (top of Prince's Road,) later occupied by Mr. Buxton, the vocalist - 'Heaven-ville' '.
