Scope & Content: "An old-style schoolmaster" who surveyed land and drew plans when he was teacher at Santan School, in 1860. He, like his headmaster, had previously taught in Littledale, near Lancaster. The latter was lame, Rawlinson was crippled as a boy. Enclosed with photograph is a short religious tract, 'Jesus the Kind Shepherd' on the reverse of which is written - Margaret Rawlinson from Mrs. Fox. Kirk St. Ann's Isle of Man, with kind regards.
