Scope & Content: Contains text and twelve monochrome watercolour and pen and ink sketches of Manx viewstogether with detailed descriptions of tours taken with her husband Henry. The couple left their children Nellie and Lucy in the care of a nurse on South Quay, Douglas and explored on foot.. Emma describes being benighted and lodging at Ballateare with Manx hosts.
An illustrated piece, 'The House the Girls built!', is at the end of the volume.
Administration / Biographical History: Mrs Cram lived at Caemain (now Plas Gwyn) of Penmaenmawr, Caernarfonshire, Wales with her husband, a retired teacher. She was the author of the first guide book for Penmaenmawr, published by H. Humphreys of Caernarforn.
