Scope & Content: A manuscript letter from the former Governor of the Isle of Man, Basil Cochrane, enclosing an address from a number of Presbyterians residing on the Isle of Man, requesting the Duke of Atholl's consent to allow a Presbyterian minister to reside on the island; on this matter, Cochrane suggests to Humphrey Harrison that the Duke should take no notice of it, declaring the request a 'foolish scheme' that 'will not subsist long;' Cochrane's letter is dated 29 September 1763, and the address is dated 26 August 1763.
