Scope & Content: Deposit consists of three series of images comprising portraits of children (alone or with other family members, mainly siblings), portraits of Ramsey Grammar School pupils and ex-pupils and wedding images of guests at their weddings.

Administration / Biographical History: Ernest Sanderson Webb of The Croft, Glen Auldyn was born in Glasgow on 5 October 1899. In 1948 he moved to the Island from London and taught biology at Ramsey Grammar School from 1948 until his retirement in 1960. As a keen amateur photographer he specialised in pictures of children and landscapes; his other hobbies included being a keen member of the Beekeepers' Association and the Mannin Art Group. He died on 22 September 1974 and was survived by his wife Johanna and their son. His obituary appeared in The Isle of Man Examiner on Friday 27 September 1974 (p 20).
