Scope & Content: Wooden-framed parchment hanging beneath small crucifix, at the base of which is an inscription on a brass tag : "Ramsey Remember the Dead 1914-1918."
Inscription on parchment reads as follows: "Remember the men of Ramsey / who fell in the conflict or died / of wounds or sickness. / This little Memorial was the first to be put up in the Island. It stood in a frame in front of the church and was dedicated on Sunday , January 27th, 1918. / There was a list in a frame, beneath, names being added from / time to time at the request of relatives or friends." Below are 112 names, listed alphabetically.
