Biography: There was a request for his release from detention from Knoackaloe. (The National Archives Website. Piece reference FO 383/114.) Family moved to Vienna were he was brought up until aged 17, and then spent time in Switzerland, Egypt and the USA. Arrived in the UK c.1910 using the nake Oscar John Rausch, and was manager of a film copmany called Selsior up to 1914. His address was 26 Russell Chambers, Bury St, London WC. He was registered as an alien enemy at Vine St Police Staion on 30 September 1914. His fellow directors at Selsior Fim Co., Alfred and Otto Liebmann were also interned. (MS 11497).
