Herbert Bent

Record type: Motorsport Biographies

Biography: Age 29, Herbert Bent is an agricultural tractor driver, and comes from Hale, near Liverpool. He has had short circuit experience at Aintree and Oulton Park, and has ridden in the Manx on several occasions from 1951 to 1957, with five 'finishes.' In 1956 he crashed and injured a wrist and although he rode again the following year, the wrist was still troubling him. So last year he had an operation on it - a plastic bone being inserted to replace the one which had been troubling him - and now he is looking forward to riding again in this year's Senior. His mount, incidentally, is a 1954 "T100."
