Biography: Age 37; a cattle agent, of Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. His first big race was last year’s Clubman’s lightweight, in which he finished fifth at 64.21 m.p.h. on a Triumph. Machine, the same as he rode last year, but with rear springing tele folks, close ratio gearbox and racing carburetter. Hobbies: Fishing and bowling.
