Biography: Age 23, J.C. (Monty) Buxton is a miner, and comes from Ripley, Derbyshire. This is his first T.T., but he has ridden B.S.A.'s at various short circuit meetings during the past two years, with several "places." Last year, too, he rode a Norton in the 500 c.c. class of the I.O.M Southern "100." but had to retire with clutch trouble when lying sixth. He is entered for both races by Bradbury & Brown, of Chasetown, near Walsall. Hobby: :-"Gardening. When I have the time." (TT Special, 13 June 1960, p.16.)
