George Ewer

Record type: Motorsport Biographies

Biography: Mount: 125 c.c. – M.V.

Age “over 21”, George Ewer comes from Chiswick, London, and is sales manager of Bob Keeler’s motorcycle business at Hillingdon, Middlesex. This is his first T.T., but he has ridden twice in the Junior Manx Grand Prix – in 1950, when he retired, and in 1951 when he finished 31st. Unfortunately the 125 c.c. race in which he is competing this year is over the Clypse Circuit, so his “Manx” experience on the Mountain Course will not be much use to him!

George has ridden well at many short-circuit meetings and within the last few years has finished high up at Blandford, Brand’s Hatch, Castle Coombe, Silverstone, Thruxton and many other meetings.

He is entered by Bob Keeler Ltd., and his M.V. is a 1956 model which, at the time of writing, has only been raced once – at Brand’s Hatch.
