Biography: Age 22, Michael Robin Hancock is a production engineering student from Barnt Green, near Birmingham. He started racing last year at various short circuit meetings, and coming over to the Island was third in the 500 cc Newcomer's race at 86.30 mph. In the Senior Manx of the following Thursday he finished 18th - not so bad for a 'new' newcomer! This year he has won two heats in the 'Clubman's' and the 500 cc non-experts race at Oulton Park. He has just taken his final exams and is going into the forces for his National Service next week - after which he hopes to be able to devote more time to racing. hobbies: Car rallying and traditional jazz.
