Biography: Mount: Sidecar—B.M.W.

Age 36, Fritz Hillebrand is a mechanic and comes from Amberg, Germany.

He has driven B.M.W sidecar machines for several years, and successes include third place at Hockenheim in 1951. He was third again in the Solitude races last year, while at the Nurburgring a few weeks ago he took third place behind Eric Oliver and Willi Noll.

Hillebrand is his own entrant, but the machine he rides is a “works” RS 54 B.M.W., with o.h.c. flat-twin engine of 494 c.c. and “featherbed” pattern frame. The front forks are of leading-link type.
