Biography: Age 29, Roy Ingram is a motor cycle mechanic and comes from Rode, near Bath, He rode in the 1952 Senior Clubman's TT finishing 38th and next year he was 13th in the Junior Clubman's.

Turning "international" in 1954, he was 19th in the Senior TT, but he was unlucky in the same races of 1955 and '56, retiring in both of them. He did not compete in the Island in 1957, but was back in the Senior again last year - only to retire on the last lap.

His Norton for the Senior race is a 1959 model with Peel streamlining, and he Is entered by J. Difazio Motorcycles of Frome.

Age 24, Roy Ingram is a mechanic—tractor driver on a farm, and comes from Rode, near Bath. No stranger to the Island, Roy competed in the 1952 and ’53 Clubman’s races, and finished both times—38th, on a Matchless, in the 1952 Senior and 13th on a Norton in last year’s Junior.

He has competed in Clubman’s races at Thruxton, Blandford, Castle Combe and Brand’s Hatch, using a G9 Matchless twin, and he makes his debut as an “International” this year.

The mount he rides is a standard “Featherbed”, but embellished with shrouded steering head and rear wheel panels, these mods, being produced by Colour Developments, of Bradford-on-Avon, to a design by Wilf Sleightholme. Roy is entered for this year’s Senior by F. Sleightholme and Sons, of Trowbridge.
