Biography: Age 31, Robert Mawby is a tool-maker and comes from Camberley, Surrey. He first raced six years ago but had to give it up in 1958 and '59. He started again last year and has raced at Castle Combe. Crystal Palace, Brands Hatch. Silverstone and Snetterton, usually finishing in the finals. He rode in last year's Junior Manx, finishing 54th at 74.49 m.p.h. At the beginning of this season he had the misfortune to break his wrist, and this year he has only competed at four meetings. His machine is a 1957 Manx model, with certain modifications. Hobbies: Any outdoor sports.
