Age 28, a toolmaker from Melbourne, Australia, Reginald McConnell has been working in this country and living temporarily at Luton, Beds. He has competed at short circuit events in Australia and in the United Kingdom, but, he says, with “no prominent success to date.” He also rode in the 1950 Ulster Grand Prix, finishing 24th in the 350 class and averaging 79.45 m.p.h. on his A.J.S.

Hobbies: Flying and gliding, he has been an instructor with the Gliding Club of Victoria and has also done power flying with the Royal Victorian Aero Club.

His machine is a 1950 Standard 7R model increased to 358 c.c. for the Senior and he is entered by George Bryant, the Biggleswade agent, who has also entered several other riders.
