Biography: Age 37, a salesman, Eric McPherson comes from New South Wales and has competed in many Australian road races since 1934, with a number of successes, including winning the Senior race at Bathurst, N.S.W., in 1947.
McPherson came over to ride in the 1948 T.T. but crashed at Governor's Bridge on his first lap of the first morning's practice and was not fit enough to start in the race. Rode at Scarborough the following month and gained a first and a third. Went over for the Ulster Grand Prix in August, but was unlucky enought to crash again. Machine: 7R A.J.S.
