Biography: Age 19, Frederick Morphew is a fitter and comes from Felling-on-Tyne, Co., Durham. He has been racing for two seasons and has competed at Catterick, Charterhall, Kirkcaldy, Ouston, Prees Heath, Thornaby and Thruxton, his best performance being a fifth place at Kirkcaldy. His machine is a standard 1952 7R model except for a later-type petrol tank, shortened front forks, modified rear frame and lower seat.
