Record type: Motorsport Biographies

Biography: Age 40, John Nutter is a foreman fitter from Burnley. He has had seven year's racing experience — at Oulton Park. Kirkby Mallory. Charterhall Scarborough, etc., and has taken part in the Isle of Man Southern "100" event.
John rode his Norton in the 1957 350 c.c. Newcomers' race and was bracketed fifth on the first lap, dropping to sixth place on the second lap. Later, however, he was unlucky enough to come off on a patch of oil at Sulby Bridge, and although un-hurt had to retire. He rode in the Junior Manx in 1958 and finished 21st at 83.05 m.p.h. collecting a replica. In 1959 he competed on his 350 AJay in both Junior and Senior M.G.P.'s, finishing 26th in the Junior, with a replica and 30th in the Senior. Last year John finished 12th in the Junior Manx at 86.32 m.p.h., with a Replica, but had to retire on the third lap of the Senior, and this year he has won the 350 c.c. race at the Scarborough "Cock o' the North" meeting.
