Biography: Age 26, Clifford Packer is a design draughtsman from London SE4. He spent three years in unsuccessful trials riding before being called up for the Forces, but since his demob, in August 1956 he has been trying his luck in road racing having ridden at most of the national meetings. He rode in the 1956 Senior Manx and finished 33rd on a 1954 Matchless. He went to Canada for a year in 1957, but has now "returned to the fray." Hobbies: Swimming.
