Biography: Age 32, Steve Palmer is a locomotive driver from Wolverton, Bucks. He made a first appearance in the 1956 Junior Manx, in which he finished 58th, but in fact he was an entry in the 1955 event, though a non-starter. He has had previous experience at Silverstone, Thruxton, Cadwell, Alton Towers and many other circuits, but describes himself as 'just a back marker' with the usual sixth and seventh places. His hobby is pig and poultry farming.
