Biography: Age 25, Derek Phillips is a farmer and motor cycle dealer, and comes from Eagle, near Lincoln. He has had experience of short circuit racing at Cadwell, Kirkby Mallory, Aintree and Snetterton, and last year was "placed" at all of these meetings. Derek was 32nd in the 1959 Senior Manx, but although he entered for last year's Senior he was a non-starter.

Age 24, Derek Phillips is a farmer and motor cycle dealer, and comes from Eagle, near Lincoln. He has had experience of short circuit racing at Cadwell, Kirkby Mallory, Aintree and Snetterton. Derek is having quite a successful season this year – he has been “placed” at all of these meetings.
In last years’ Senior Manx he was 32nd. His machine is a 1960 model.
