Biography: Age 31, Leslie Wells is a builder, and lives at Walthamstow. This is his seventh year of racing and in 1958 he was placed at many English short circuits and was 7th In the A.C.U. Championships.

He rode in the Sidecar T.T. for the first time in 1959, his machine being a standard 1958 Manx Norton, but he was unlucky enough to retire on the first lap. After the T.T. he scored seconds and thirds at Brands Hatch, Cadwell Park, Mallory Park and Snetterton.

Leslie finished fourth on his Norton in last year's Sidecar T.T., with a Silver Replica, of course, and after the T.T. he won Sidecar races at Brand's Hatch, Cadwell Park and Castle Combe, with seconds also at Brand's, at Mallory Park and Crystal Palace. Last April he won in the Sidecar race at "the Palace". (TT Special, 16 June 1961, p19)
