Has had considerable experience of sprints and scrambles over many years and is holder of the Brooklands 500 c.c. lap record, which he put up in 1938 on a Triumph Speed Twin at 118.06 m.p.h. Machine, 1950 Triumph Tiger 100. Hobbies: Sailing and ski-ing, and competing in “Vintage” events.
