Biography: Senior – Matchless
Age 27, Derek Wroe is an instrument technician and comes from Blackpool. Lancs. He is a previous M.G.P. competitor having finished 43rd in the 1954 Junior, and he has also ridden at Aintree, Altcar, Rhydwymwyn, Cadwell, Oulton Park and Osmaston Manor. He was 42nd in the 1956 Senior Manx, but retired on the fourth lap of the Junior with a seized engine. In 1957 he was 42nd in the Senior Manx on a 1948 K.T.T. Velocette.
Last year he won a replica in the Junior after pushing in from Signpost.
