Biography: Age 28, Alan Young is an aircraft engineer and comes from Purley, Surrey. This is his third Sidecar TT. In the 1956 event he finished eighth, with a Silver Replica, but last year he retired on the third lap. He has also had many successes at short circuit meetings such as Brand's Hatch, Crystal Palace, Kirkby Mallory, Oulton Park and Thruxton. Hobbies: Swimming, dancing, ice skating - and drinking (?)
