Biography: Age 29, James Hamilton Buchanan is a moulder, and comes from Stenhousemuir, Stirlingshire. He has raced in all Scottish events, and entered for the 1959 Manx, only to come off in practice and break a shoulder. He rode in the Junior Manx last year, but had to retire on the third lap. His machine for this year's Junior is the one which W. Roberton rode in the 1959 and 1960 Junior T.T. races, winning a couple of Replicas. Hobby: Swimming. (TT Special, 5 September 1961, p.9)
