Age 28, Dennis Christian is a motor mechanic living in Santon, Isle of Man. A recruit last year to the T.T., he had been a regular Manx Grand Prix competitor for a number of years, his first race being in 1949.

In the 1953 Junior Manx he was second, on a Norton, at 83.81 m.p.h. and a year later he was thirteenth in the Junior and fourth in the Senior. In 1955 he rode a Matchless in the Senior Manx and finished in a very creditable third place at 88.36 m.p.h. to collect his twelfth M.G.P. replica. Dennis has also been seen on several occasions on such mainland circuits as Silverstone.

His first ride in an international T.T. – the Senior – resulted in being placed 20th at 87.97 m.p.h. on a G45 Matchless twin.
