Age: 29. Robert George Cook is a New Zealander with experience in his country of grass-tracks, beach and road racing. Together with his friend George Begg, he came to Britain last season for the express purpose of riding in the Manx Grand Prix but did not have the best of luck, retiring at Glen Helen in the Junior and at Sulby in the Senior.
At the first Brand’s Hatching meeting of this year Cook was the winner of the first 350 c.c. race on the programme.
