Biography: Age 23, Martyn Hayward is a planning engineer and comes from Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. He has ridden at several short circuit meetings and has scored a 1st place at Cadwell, seconds and thirds at Thruxton, two fourths at Silverstone and sixths at Brands Hatch. Martyn rode in the 1959 Senior, but retired at Ballaugh Bridge on the third lap, with engine trouble. Last year, however, he finished 25th in the same race at 85.79 m.p.h. His machine is a standard 1960 G50 model, originally owned by G.C. Young and raced twice by him only. Hobby: "What else is there?"
