Biography: Junior – Norton

Senior – Norton
Age 30, an electric welder, of Monkseaton. Northumberland, Horn has had plenty of experience on the T.T. course during the past two years. In 1948 he finished eighth in the Clubman's Senior on a Vincent at 72.79 m.p.h., whilst in the Junior Manx of the same year he was sixth on an A.J.S. at 76.28 m.p.h.
In 1949, in the Clubman's “1000” he led for the first two laps and made record lap at 85.57 only to retire on the last lap at Ramsey, short of petrol. He finished in both Junior and Senior Manx races of the following September, however, 35th in the Junior on an AJ.S. and third in the Senior on a Norton at 82.83 m.p.h. He rode Nortons in both Junior and Senior T.T. races in 1950, but retired in both events, in the second lap of five laps in the latter.
He is entered in the Junior and Senior by St. Andrews Motors Ltd. of Newcastle-on-Tyne, and in the Lightweight D.O.T. Motors have entered him on a “works” bike.

Age 28; electric welder, of Whitley Bay, Northumberland; finished eigth last year's Senior Clubman's on a Vincent H.R.D. and sixth in the Junior M.G.P. on an A.J.S. Machine: 1948 Series B Vincent H.R.D. Rapide.
