Den Jarman

Biography: Age 28, Den Jarman is an electrician and comes from Waltham Abbey, Essex. He made his Manx Grand Prix debut in 1955 finishing in both races on his 348 c.c. A.J.S. - a 1953 model previously owned by Bennie Rood. Den has been placed third in a,non-experts' race at Castle Combe, and other venues at which he has appeared include Silverstone, Thruxton, Blandford, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Crystal Palace, etc.

He was out of luck in September 1956 when he retired in both Junior and Senior MGP's. His Norton for the 1957 Manx races was the 1957 348 model ridden by Bernard Codd in June. He finished 11th on it in the Junior, winning a Replica, but retired towards the end of the Senior race. He rode an A.J.S. in last year's Junior TT, but retired on the fourth lap.
