Biography: Criminal case. Crown case. A private in the 15th regiment of Foot. William Clague Coroner of Rushen warrant on the verdict of a jury for willful murder. 13 March tried and indicted for willful murder. 4 April tried, verdict manslaughter, sentence, to be transported for life. Delivered to Abraham Champion to be conveyed to Millbank Prison. The order for his removal was dated 29 April 1848 and not received here by the Lieutenant Governor until 17 July.
